In a world where geopolitical events seem to trigger unjustified lethality from terrorist organizations, security and protection is taking priority with governments and commercial entities across the globe. As a result of the ongoing war on terror, the need for bullet resistant armor and blast protective solutions is overwhelming. The Incident Control Systems executive team, led by Steve Monette knows exactly what it’s like to trust your life to a piece of equipment. In fact, we strive to remember that feeling every day because it motivates us to make the very best armor possible.

Steve Monette Jr. – President

Steve has more than 15 years experience in the armor industry. This includes time spent at companies such as Armor Holdings and Second Chance Body Armor.

Steve gained extensive experience working with the US Army for mission specific applications where he developed custom solutions for US Army TARDEC, TACOM, DARPA and SOCOM. Steve also designed and built three manufacturing facilities throughout the United States dedicated to composite armor manufacturing.

Steve is a former firefighter and paramedic with 12 years working 911 rescue operations. Steve was decorated by former Massachusetts Governor William Weld for Bravery and Outstanding Acts of Courage.

Mike LoBue – Director of National Sales and Programs

Mike has over a decade of experience using and working within the armor industry. He has a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.

Mike began his career as a Rotary and Fixed Wing Naval Aviator. After separating from the service in 2006, he joined the Joint IED Defeat Organization (JIEDDO) as an intelligence programs specialist. He soon took over as the Program Developer and Tenet Lead for JIEDDO’s Mitigate Team. During his tenure in this position Mike oversaw R&D programs for the development of EFP Defeat Armor Systems for Light and Medium Wheeled Vehicles and programs to counter Large Underbody Blast IEDs. After leaving JIEDDO in 2008, Mike spent two years at a private armor company as the Vehicle Armor Program Manager.

Byron Bahan – Senior CAD Engineer

Byron has more than 10 years experience in the armor industry having worked for Hughes Aircraft where he supported the airline industry with the in-board avionics for Lockheed McDonald Douglas, Airbus and Boeing.

Byron is responsible for ICS’s armor product design from concept through prototype. Byron ensures armor testing and qualification processes meet standards prior to production. He has created complete composite armor drawing packages for numerous combat vehicles and designed dozens of armor solutions, many of which are in theater today.

Jim Mitchell – Director of Finance

Jim brings three decades of business and finance management skills to the ICS team. A seasoned entrepreneur, Jim uses his experience in all phases of business development to enhance the enterprises he works with.
